Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name can also be stylized by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is an album released in May 2015 by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the blogs and the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that she has recorded. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway via a blog post brought the singer additional recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered a grand piano that was in the attic. She was fascinated by the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to pursue music solely to have fun or as a means of growth but rather, she should explore it. They inspired her to write. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favourite composers. She decided to start performing her music in public when her mother suggested that they can help other people, not to gain fame with her work, but instead help those around them see the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started making music when she was 9 years old. Family members didn't even be aware of this until she turned 14. Aurora's success was never the goal of her. Aurora claims she loves composing music. For her, music is the most effective method of expressing anything.
